Even more information

Q: Does it kill viruses and bacteria?

A: Yes Force of Nature is an EPA registered disinfectant & sanitizer registered for use in hospitals, ICUs, schools, daycares, veterinary clinics and more. It kills 99.9% of germs including Norovirus, Influenza A, Salmonella, MRSA, Staph & Listeria when used as directed.

Q: Does this kill coronavirus? Does it kill the Delta variant?

A: Force of Nature is on EPA’s list N, the disinfectants approved for use against COVID-19. Force of Nature has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2 on hard, non-porous surfaces. Therefore, Force of Nature can be used against COVID-19 when used in accordance with the directions for use against Norovirus on hard non-porous surfaces. EPA expects all products on List N to kill all strains and variants of SARS-CoV-2. EPA Emerging Pathogen Policy.

Q: Do you have a warranty or guarantee?

A: Yes we have both! As long as you use your Force of Nature according to our instructions, it’s covered by a limited one year warranty. We also have a 100% Happiness Guarantee, which means that if you’re not completely satisfied with your Force of Nature Starter Kit or Bundle, you can return it to us within 30 days for a full refund minus the return shipping cost.

Q: Does it have a scent?

A:  Force of Nature has no added fragrances, so it’s perfect for families struggling with asthma and allergies. It has a light swimming pool scent that’s naturally created when salt, water & vinegar are electrolyzed. The scent is from the active ingredient, hypochlorous acid, which is the same active ingredient commonly used in wound, eye & veterinary care products.

Q: Why does the cleaner only last 2 weeks?

A: Just like bubbles in a carbonated drink, hypochlorous acid starts to dissipate over time. To be sure Force of Nature is at its optimal power, you should use it within 2 weeks. The bottle is 12 oz, vs a typical cleaner which is around 26-32 oz. Most families use about a bottle a week when they use it for all their cleaning, disinfecting & deodorizing needs (replacing disinfectants, deodorizers, kitchen, bath & glass cleaners). Families who also use it on floors & rugs use even more. The light ring around the bottom of the Electrolyzer is color coded to let you know when it’s time to make a new batch.

Q: Are your capsules recyclable?

A:  Absolutely! With our Capsules & reusable bottles, you reduce your plastic waste from typical cleaning products by 97%. Force of Nature is Green Seal certified, which means it meets Green Seal’s highest sustainability standards in 4 areas: preserving the climate, ensuring clean water, minimizing waste, and protecting humans.

Q: Can I use it to clean stone? On what other surfaces?

A: Use it to clean virtually any surface – sealed stone including granite, marble & quartz, wood, laminate, stainless steel, glass, grout, tile, porcelain, plastic, rubber & even on high chair trays & cutting boards. Deodorize trash, diaper pails, kitty litter, pet toys & bedding. Clean colorfast rugs (great for pet accidents!), stuffed animals, carseats & strollers. Always test first for color fastness in an inconspicuous spot, let dry before proceeding and don’t use on fabrics labeled “only non-chlorine bleach”. Because Force of Nature has no whiteners like bleach or titanium, it won’t remove set in rust, hard water, or mold stains on porous surfaces. With soap scum, depending on build up & surface porosity, you may need a mild abrasive like baking soda with your scrub brush the first few times. This is because soap scum builds up in layers & can require a few applications to break down. If you’re using Force of Nature on brass or copper, either rinse with water or wipe until it’s thoroughly dry because it shouldn’t sit on soft metals over time.

Q: Has Force of Nature been tested in 3rd party labs?

A: Yes Force of Nature has been tested by 3rd party independent labs for cleaning performance, germ-kill efficacy, ingredient impact on people, and environmental impact. Germ-kill testing and cleaning performance lab test results vs the leading brands are here. You’ll see that Force of Nature kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria and is just as effective as Windex on glass, Formula 409 on grease, Scrubbing Bubbles on soap scum, Febreze on odors, and Resolve on rugs. Force of Nature has also been given the highest rating by the Mayo Clinic’s allergy rating system. We’re also proud to be Green Seal certified for our sustainability leadership. Green Seal certification is awarded to products that meet the highest sustainability standards in 4 areas: protecting humans, preserving the climate, ensuring clean water, and minimizing waste.

Q: Does it work with hard water?

A:  If you have hard water (> 100ppm), please use a water softener, distilled or de-ionized water instead of tap water. This is because the minerals in hard water interfere with the chemistry, making the cleaner less effective, and can shorten the life of your Force of Nature.

Q: How does the cost of Force of Nature compare to other cleaning products?

A:  The on-going cost of the all-in-one multi-purpose cleaner, deodorizer and disinfectant you make is $.09 an ounce (or $.08 an ounce for subscribers), which is up to 80% less per ounce than typical natural cleaners like Clorox Clean-Up, Seventh Generation Disinfectant Spray, Windex Glass Cleaner, Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Scrubbing Bubbles.

Q: How much Force of Nature would I use?

A:  You’d use the same amount of Force of Nature as you use of the products you replace it with. For example if you use it to replace kitchen, bath, glass, floor cleaners, deodorizers and disinfectant sprays, you’d use the same amount of Force of Nature as you do of those products combined.

Q: Why does the cleaner only last 2 weeks?

A: Just like bubbles in a carbonated drink, hypochlorous acid starts to dissipate over time. To be sure Force of Nature is at its optimal disinfecting power, you should use it within 2 weeks. The bottle is 12 oz, vs a typical cleaner which is around 26-32 oz. Most families use about a bottle a week when they use it for all their cleaning & deodorizing needs (replacing kitchen, bath, glass cleaners & deodorizers). Families who also use it on floors & rugs use even more. The light ring around the bottom of the Electrolyzer is color coded to let you know when it’s time to make a new batch.

Q: How do I use it to disinfect or sanitize?

A: We’re glad you asked because a lot of people don’t know the proper way to use disinfectants (not just Force of Nature)! On hard, non-porous surfaces, clean surface of soil or residue so that the disinfectant can come into contact with 100% of the surface. Spray Force of Nature on surface until thoroughly wet. Allow surface to remain wet for 10 minutes. Let dry naturally or wipe surface with clean cloth or towel. Most people don’t realize that the disinfectants you buy at the store typically have a 10 minute dwell time, and that you need to pre-clean the surface. No matter what disinfectant you use, don’t forget to read the usage instructions carefully.

I was first hesitant to use this as a cleaning product because I wasn’t sure how this worked. However, this is now my one and only cleaning solution I’ll use in my house. 1st, it’s so fun to mix together. 2nd, it’s safe around pets and babies, and lastly it smells clean. It does have a hint of a bleach smell but I’m okay with that. Bonus points, it’s so much better for the environment. So far one little capsule has lasted a little over a week, and I clean a lot! I’ve used it on my hardwood floors, for when my senior dog has accidents and even cleaned my entire fridge with it. I can’t believe how much a little goes a long way. So glad i found this product.

  • Mimi

I bought the force of nature when my daughter in law had it on her counter I was like what is this. She said I bought it after she had my granddaughter she did not want to use anything with chemicals I was like well I need to try this and we’ll all I have to say I always like to clean this makes me want to clean even more. I like that the spray is very light and easy to wipe down my counters and stove each day and that I can use it to clean my bathroom and fridge all with on spray bottle. My daughter was sick with a cold virus I loved this product washed down the door handles and anything she touched knowing I was killing all those germs. Thank you so much for this great product that is also chemical free.

I bought this to try on my son’s hockey gear. This worked so well!! I love it and I absolutely have recommended it to other hockey parents I know! I wish I had tried it sooner.

At first I wasn’t sure I’d be able to use it up every two weeks, but it is totally doable. We have a 2 year old who’s potty training and a new born on the way. Not to mention a recently found mice issue!! EEEK! I am so thankful to have a clean, non toxic and earth friendly way to clean and sanitize. Especially with having a newborn in the house soon during COVID times. I would definitely recommend this product. I use it and also use ecloths and Norwex. A great earth friendly combination.

  • Rebecca

I have been using it for a year now, and I can’t say enough good about it. It cleans great, leaves things smelling fresh and can be used in so many ways. I love that it doesn’t irritate my lungs and is safe to use around pets. My cat thinks it is great too he rolls in it after I clean the floor. A word of caution though, it can remove dyes from some fabrics. I pretreated my cloth placemats and accidently got it on some dark pants and it bleached them both. It doesn’t bleach colorfast things but be sure to test an inconspicuous area before using it on all fabrics. I am a customer for life and have replaced my other cleaners.

  • Kristi

This is, hands down, the best surface disinfectant I have ever used. I originally became familiar with hypochlorous acid while working in ophthalmology as there are many lid cleansing products that use hypochlorous acid (not recommending you use this on the face or eyes as that is not how it is indicated, just mentioning my familiarity with the chemical compound that results from a simple process with salt, vinegar and water) so I fully recognize and appreciate the safety of use around humans and pets. The fact that this product is incredibly safe to use, environmentally friendly, super low waste, has awesome spray bottles AND is effective against the Sars Cov-2 type virus is HUGE and glorious! I use this stuff all over my house, I spray it in teenage boy shoes to de-stink them, I work in healthcare so I spray it on the outsides of my shoes before I come inside after work, I use it on cutting boards, sponges and cleaning brushes, I spray it in the gasket on my front-loading washer because we all know that can get some funk now and then, the list goes on and on and on. The device itself is super easy to use, I love the little capsules because they’re pre-measured, easy to use and are a way tinier amount of waste than replacing entire cleaner bottle with each and every purchase, and I just can’t imagine life without my Force of Nature cleaner. Oh boy. I sound like an infomercial here. I’m just a healthcare worker and mom who went online actually searching for a hypochlorous acid surface disinfectant and got this absolute joy. Also, any time I have had questions, the nice folks who work in their customer care have been a true delight! This product, and the nice folks at Force of Nature deserve more than five stars.

  • Amy L Simko

I love this product. I have used vinegar to clean in the past, but with the pandemic, I wanted something stronger that would kill COVID and more, but without harmful chemicals and strong odors. Force of Nature is the perfect answer. I have tried it on so many surfaces and haven’t had any issues. I even spray my dog’s bed and our carpet. Fantastic product.

  • Rachel

I was hesitant because of upfront costs but this product is amazing. We feel so good being able to provide a clean and healthy environment for our five month old son. No more worries about if a product is safe or not! I’ve encouraged every member of my family to get Force of Nature. I also think it’d be an amazing things for schools since I know teachers who go through tons of cleaning supplies. In the long run, I’m sure it’d save money. Loving my Force of Nature! Tip: buy the travel bottles to keep in the diaper bags!

  • Katherine

I have been so happy with this product! I’ve been using it on my son’s school supplies when he comes home from school and our masks at night. I’ve also been using it on my front loading washing machine and it has drastically cut down on the musty smell it used to have! I will definitely be continuing to use these and recommend it to my family!

  • Allie B

As a parent and chemist I was intrigued by both the safety and science of this product. We are always cleaning up after our two small children and this product has proven itself over and over again. I highly recommend getting a pack of microfiber cloths to wash over and over again. You really can use the spray on all surfaces!

  • PatR

I am impressed with the cleaning power of Force Of Nature. It works great on grease and soap scum. I use it in my Bissell Cross Wave floor cleaner also. I have to make several batches to fill the bottle on the Bissell but that is not a problem. I feel that is does not leave the residue that the recommended cleaner leaves.

  • Bethany K

I purchased this a few weeks ago, wanting something natural that can kill most viruses. I cough using most “natural” cleaners. I do not cough with Force or Nature at all. I’m not afraid to use it around my kids. The house smells clean. It does exactly what it is advertised to do. I will continue to use this and throw everything else out. Can’t wait to see what else it can do.
