Even more information

Q: Does it kill viruses and bacteria?

A: Yes Force of Nature is an EPA registered disinfectant & sanitizer registered for use in hospitals, ICUs, schools, daycares, veterinary clinics and more. It kills 99.9% of germs including Norovirus, Influenza A, Salmonella, MRSA, Staph & Listeria when used as directed.

Q: Does this kill coronavirus? Does it kill the Delta variant?

A: Force of Nature is on EPA’s list N, the disinfectants approved for use against COVID-19. Force of Nature has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2 on hard, non-porous surfaces. Therefore, Force of Nature can be used against COVID-19 when used in accordance with the directions for use against Norovirus on hard non-porous surfaces. EPA expects all products on List N to kill all strains and variants of SARS-CoV-2. EPA Emerging Pathogen Policy.

Q: Do you have a warranty or guarantee?

A: Yes we have both! As long as you use your Force of Nature according to our instructions, it’s covered by a limited one year warranty. We also have a 100% Happiness Guarantee, which means that if you’re not completely satisfied with your Force of Nature Starter Kit or Bundle, you can return it to us within 30 days for a full refund minus the return shipping cost.

Q: Does it have a scent?

A:  Force of Nature has no added fragrances, so it’s perfect for families struggling with asthma and allergies. It has a light swimming pool scent that’s naturally created when salt, water & vinegar are electrolyzed. The scent is from the active ingredient, hypochlorous acid, which is the same active ingredient commonly used in wound, eye & veterinary care products.

Q: Why does the cleaner only last 2 weeks?

A: Just like bubbles in a carbonated drink, hypochlorous acid starts to dissipate over time. To be sure Force of Nature is at its optimal power, you should use it within 2 weeks. The bottle is 12 oz, vs a typical cleaner which is around 26-32 oz. Most families use about a bottle a week when they use it for all their cleaning, disinfecting & deodorizing needs (replacing disinfectants, deodorizers, kitchen, bath & glass cleaners). Families who also use it on floors & rugs use even more. The light ring around the bottom of the Electrolyzer is color coded to let you know when it’s time to make a new batch.

Q: Are your capsules recyclable?

A:  Absolutely! With our Capsules & reusable bottles, you reduce your plastic waste from typical cleaning products by 97%. Force of Nature is Green Seal certified, which means it meets Green Seal’s highest sustainability standards in 4 areas: preserving the climate, ensuring clean water, minimizing waste, and protecting humans.

Q: Can I use it to clean stone? On what other surfaces?

A: Use it to clean virtually any surface – sealed stone including granite, marble & quartz, wood, laminate, stainless steel, glass, grout, tile, porcelain, plastic, rubber & even on high chair trays & cutting boards. Deodorize trash, diaper pails, kitty litter, pet toys & bedding. Clean colorfast rugs (great for pet accidents!), stuffed animals, carseats & strollers. Always test first for color fastness in an inconspicuous spot, let dry before proceeding and don’t use on fabrics labeled “only non-chlorine bleach”. Because Force of Nature has no whiteners like bleach or titanium, it won’t remove set in rust, hard water, or mold stains on porous surfaces. With soap scum, depending on build up & surface porosity, you may need a mild abrasive like baking soda with your scrub brush the first few times. This is because soap scum builds up in layers & can require a few applications to break down. If you’re using Force of Nature on brass or copper, either rinse with water or wipe until it’s thoroughly dry because it shouldn’t sit on soft metals over time.

Q: Has Force of Nature been tested in 3rd party labs?

A: Yes Force of Nature has been tested by 3rd party independent labs for cleaning performance, germ-kill efficacy, ingredient impact on people, and environmental impact. Germ-kill testing and cleaning performance lab test results vs the leading brands are here. You’ll see that Force of Nature kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria and is just as effective as Windex on glass, Formula 409 on grease, Scrubbing Bubbles on soap scum, Febreze on odors, and Resolve on rugs. Force of Nature has also been given the highest rating by the Mayo Clinic’s allergy rating system. We’re also proud to be Green Seal certified for our sustainability leadership. Green Seal certification is awarded to products that meet the highest sustainability standards in 4 areas: protecting humans, preserving the climate, ensuring clean water, and minimizing waste.

Q: Does it work with hard water?

A:  If you have hard water (> 100ppm), please use a water softener, distilled or de-ionized water instead of tap water. This is because the minerals in hard water interfere with the chemistry, making the cleaner less effective, and can shorten the life of your Force of Nature.

Q: How does the cost of Force of Nature compare to other cleaning products?

A:  The on-going cost of the all-in-one multi-purpose cleaner, deodorizer and disinfectant you make is $.09 an ounce (or $.08 an ounce for subscribers), which is up to 80% less per ounce than typical natural cleaners like Clorox Clean-Up, Seventh Generation Disinfectant Spray, Windex Glass Cleaner, Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Scrubbing Bubbles.

Q: How much Force of Nature would I use?

A:  You’d use the same amount of Force of Nature as you use of the products you replace it with. For example if you use it to replace kitchen, bath, glass, floor cleaners, deodorizers and disinfectant sprays, you’d use the same amount of Force of Nature as you do of those products combined.

Q: Why does the cleaner only last 2 weeks?

A: Just like bubbles in a carbonated drink, hypochlorous acid starts to dissipate over time. To be sure Force of Nature is at its optimal disinfecting power, you should use it within 2 weeks. The bottle is 12 oz, vs a typical cleaner which is around 26-32 oz. Most families use about a bottle a week when they use it for all their cleaning & deodorizing needs (replacing kitchen, bath, glass cleaners & deodorizers). Families who also use it on floors & rugs use even more. The light ring around the bottom of the Electrolyzer is color coded to let you know when it’s time to make a new batch.

Q: How do I use it to disinfect or sanitize?

A: We’re glad you asked because a lot of people don’t know the proper way to use disinfectants (not just Force of Nature)! On hard, non-porous surfaces, clean surface of soil or residue so that the disinfectant can come into contact with 100% of the surface. Spray Force of Nature on surface until thoroughly wet. Allow surface to remain wet for 10 minutes. Let dry naturally or wipe surface with clean cloth or towel. Most people don’t realize that the disinfectants you buy at the store typically have a 10 minute dwell time, and that you need to pre-clean the surface. No matter what disinfectant you use, don’t forget to read the usage instructions carefully.

Q: Can I see your MSDS?

A: You can find our MSDS here.

So far I am loving it. I like that there is no residue or lasting smell. It makes it so much easier to have only one product for everything.

  • Holly

This is user-friendly and makes cleaning easier and safer than other options on the market. I have used another popular non-toxic product line for years, but I found there were many surfaces where the silver-infused microfiber cloths could not quite clean satisfactorily due to the texture and crevices present, so this is perfect for those areas. The smell is pleasant and does not last. I have asthma and a sensitivity to strong smells, especially cleaning products, and this didn’t phase me at all. The system itself was a good deal after the coupon I found, and I’m extremely satisfied with the customer service I received when messaging FoN on Facebook. I found out that it can be used safely on surfaces with an anti-glare coating (iPads, cell phones, etc. as long as it’s not sprayed directly onto the device), and it will work on mold as well. They were quick to get back to me and sought out an answer they did not have readily available. I highly recommend this product and feel confident in its cleaning power and safety.

Great product! Works wonderful on granite and even pet messes. Love how clean it smells and cuts through dirt and sticky messes just fine 🙂

  • Heather K.

Force of nature does clean well! The only downfall for me is the price of the base unit and that it expires in 2 weeks. I have used my first bottle for 3 weeks now and it is a little over halfway empty. I did add some of it to a vase of flowers as well, and they lasted about a week from when I first purchased them (100 medium sized roses from Sam’s Club). I do love that I use 1 bottle for everything and it is safe for my 8 month old to be around! I haven’t tried it yet to clean up my puppy’s accidents. She usually wets on a potty pad if she is inside all day and I still use bleach for that if she goes off the pad, but I think force of nature would probably work well too! I just need to run out of all of my other cleaning supplies and then I will use FON for everything! 🙂

I purchased Force of Nature about 2 weeks ago! It’s such a great concept! I love the fact that I don’t have 15 different bottles of “something” hanging around to clean this or that. I use the Force of Nature for everything. I feed my dogs a raw diet so every meal I fix them I am wiping down my kitchen counter. I love the fact that I can wipe my counter down and then not have to wipe it off again, worrying about any “chemical” residue that might make contact with any food. I purchased a few extra bottles and cartridges so I have enough to keep a bottle in the upstairs bathroom as well. Such a clean, neat, green, safe, non-toxic way of keeping things clean.

This product does all of the things it promises. I did read some reviews from users that tested the efficacy of this product against other green products before I purchased it. The consensus of the reviews are that this product works for disinfecting the common household germs and bacteria. I would like to perform some tests myself, but so far this product is pretty awesome. It actually deodorizes, cuts grease, and leaves surfaces squeaky clean. I’m glad that I can deodorize our rug and not worry about our dogs and kids playing on it. I just used this to clean our greasy stove, and it did an immaculate job. I find that I clean way more than usual with this cleaner, since I’m not concerned about fragrances, chemicals, etc., and I can spray it on virtually any surface. Just note that this product (and any other cleaning product) only kills bacteria where it touches. So, make sure to douse whatever you’re cleaning and make sure all surface area is covered.

I am so impressed by the Force of Nature Cleaning System! Honestly, I didn’t expect much when I opened my vial and it smelled like pure vinegar. I expected it to be stinky and boy, was I pleasantly surprised! It smells clean. Like a natural clean smell. I actually look forward to coming home to this smell. And it actually does clean better than most, if not all of the cleaners I have ever used. It removed hard water off our shower tiles. It removed stuck on dry eraser off my daughters dry erase board. It cleaned up my granite counters to a polished shine. My stainless fridge is streakless and shiny. My house doesn’t smell like our 6 month old son’s diapers anymore! It’s fresh. It’s clean. It’s natural. And I don’t have to worry about my kids being around harsh chemicals. I am thrilled that I found this product and will continue to use it on EVERYTHING!

I absolutely love this product it does even better than my steam cleaner the only thing I wish the little solutions packs not to be so pricy it’s expensive but worth it I just would love some kind of discount for single parents, or promotions otherwise I am and my whole family,is happy and it reduced an allergy, clutter, faster and simpler cleaning all in one. God Bless All!

  • Cynthia Cross

I have recently received my package I purchased this week. I immediately created a bottle of cleaner and used throughout the house. Very pleased with the results. Then, a few days later, I was juicing with a fabulous heavy (expensive) linen full apron when bubbles of beet juice clamored over the front of the top. Oh my goodness!!! I was sooo disheartened and then I remembered my new product. I sprayed immediately on the stains and voila, all of it came out of my beautiful linen apron. WOW…I am excited to continue using this product to discover more of its possibilities and capabilities. Thanks for reading…I heartily recommend replacing toxic products with this…

  • Danielle

I’ve always purchased “natural” chemical free cleansers or tried to make my own but they always leave soapy residues or never quite met my expectations. Bleach made me feel uneasy with small kids in my house. When I saw this product it made sense to own it. I absolutely LOVE it!! Anything that I can make in my home at will with no harmful toxic chemicals is a win win. It does save money long term and gives me peace of mind. I will never go back to regular cleaning products. Ever!! Thank you so much for a quality product that’s eco friendly and affordable:)

  • Lauren Edlund

So far so good. I feel comfortable using this around my family.

  • Autumn McCombs

This cleaner is really nice. The bottles are well made, as is the base. The cleaner that results from the electrolysis definitely smells like a base, which is excellent.

The only cons so far are: 1) the 6 minute countdown skips around on the numbers, so I need to see if it actually does electrolyze for 6 minutes. Also, 2) the top cap of the electrolysis bottle has a nifty pour option, but that causes the solution to spill all over the place when pouring into the spray bottle.

I do wish I could make a homemade mixture instead of having to buy the pods, but am glad to have this affordable option.

Hi – The timer fluctuation is normal because it’s the device adapting to your electrical current. An electrical current is often not steady, so Force of Nature contains a voltage regulator. When the electrical current is inconsistent, the counter registers the fluctuating electrical flow and the device adjusts the time accordingly. Force of Nature turns off not after a specified period of time, but only when the solution is exposed to a specified volume of coulombs to create the exact concentration of the cleaning agents. That’s why we tell customers that the time is about 6 minutes, not exactly 6 minutes. Hope this helps!
