Even more information

Q: Does it kill viruses and bacteria?

A: Yes Force of Nature is an EPA registered disinfectant & sanitizer registered for use in hospitals, ICUs, schools, daycares, veterinary clinics and more. It kills 99.9% of germs including Norovirus, Influenza A, Salmonella, MRSA, Staph & Listeria when used as directed.

Q: Does this kill coronavirus? Does it kill the Delta variant?

A: Force of Nature is on EPA’s list N, the disinfectants approved for use against COVID-19. Force of Nature has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2 on hard, non-porous surfaces. Therefore, Force of Nature can be used against COVID-19 when used in accordance with the directions for use against Norovirus on hard non-porous surfaces. EPA expects all products on List N to kill all strains and variants of SARS-CoV-2. EPA Emerging Pathogen Policy.

Q: Do you have a warranty or guarantee?

A: Yes we have both! As long as you use your Force of Nature according to our instructions, it’s covered by a limited one year warranty. We also have a 100% Happiness Guarantee, which means that if you’re not completely satisfied with your Force of Nature Starter Kit or Bundle, you can return it to us within 30 days for a full refund minus the return shipping cost.

Q: Does it have a scent?

A:  Force of Nature has no added fragrances, so it’s perfect for families struggling with asthma and allergies. It has a light swimming pool scent that’s naturally created when salt, water & vinegar are electrolyzed. The scent is from the active ingredient, hypochlorous acid, which is the same active ingredient commonly used in wound, eye & veterinary care products.

Q: Why does the cleaner only last 2 weeks?

A: Just like bubbles in a carbonated drink, hypochlorous acid starts to dissipate over time. To be sure Force of Nature is at its optimal power, you should use it within 2 weeks. The bottle is 12 oz, vs a typical cleaner which is around 26-32 oz. Most families use about a bottle a week when they use it for all their cleaning, disinfecting & deodorizing needs (replacing disinfectants, deodorizers, kitchen, bath & glass cleaners). Families who also use it on floors & rugs use even more. The light ring around the bottom of the Electrolyzer is color coded to let you know when it’s time to make a new batch.

Q: Are your capsules recyclable?

A:  Absolutely! With our Capsules & reusable bottles, you reduce your plastic waste from typical cleaning products by 97%. Force of Nature is Green Seal certified, which means it meets Green Seal’s highest sustainability standards in 4 areas: preserving the climate, ensuring clean water, minimizing waste, and protecting humans.

Q: Can I use it to clean stone? On what other surfaces?

A: Use it to clean virtually any surface – sealed stone including granite, marble & quartz, wood, laminate, stainless steel, glass, grout, tile, porcelain, plastic, rubber & even on high chair trays & cutting boards. Deodorize trash, diaper pails, kitty litter, pet toys & bedding. Clean colorfast rugs (great for pet accidents!), stuffed animals, carseats & strollers. Always test first for color fastness in an inconspicuous spot, let dry before proceeding and don’t use on fabrics labeled “only non-chlorine bleach”. Because Force of Nature has no whiteners like bleach or titanium, it won’t remove set in rust, hard water, or mold stains on porous surfaces. With soap scum, depending on build up & surface porosity, you may need a mild abrasive like baking soda with your scrub brush the first few times. This is because soap scum builds up in layers & can require a few applications to break down. If you’re using Force of Nature on brass or copper, either rinse with water or wipe until it’s thoroughly dry because it shouldn’t sit on soft metals over time.

Q: Has Force of Nature been tested in 3rd party labs?

A: Yes Force of Nature has been tested by 3rd party independent labs for cleaning performance, germ-kill efficacy, ingredient impact on people, and environmental impact. Germ-kill testing and cleaning performance lab test results vs the leading brands are here. You’ll see that Force of Nature kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria and is just as effective as Windex on glass, Formula 409 on grease, Scrubbing Bubbles on soap scum, Febreze on odors, and Resolve on rugs. Force of Nature has also been given the highest rating by the Mayo Clinic’s allergy rating system. We’re also proud to be Green Seal certified for our sustainability leadership. Green Seal certification is awarded to products that meet the highest sustainability standards in 4 areas: protecting humans, preserving the climate, ensuring clean water, and minimizing waste.

Q: Does it work with hard water?

A:  If you have hard water (> 100ppm), please use a water softener, distilled or de-ionized water instead of tap water. This is because the minerals in hard water interfere with the chemistry, making the cleaner less effective, and can shorten the life of your Force of Nature.

Q: How does the cost of Force of Nature compare to other cleaning products?

A:  The on-going cost of the all-in-one multi-purpose cleaner, deodorizer and disinfectant you make is $.09 an ounce (or $.08 an ounce for subscribers), which is up to 80% less per ounce than typical natural cleaners like Clorox Clean-Up, Seventh Generation Disinfectant Spray, Windex Glass Cleaner, Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Scrubbing Bubbles.

Q: How much Force of Nature would I use?

A:  You’d use the same amount of Force of Nature as you use of the products you replace it with. For example if you use it to replace kitchen, bath, glass, floor cleaners, deodorizers and disinfectant sprays, you’d use the same amount of Force of Nature as you do of those products combined.

Q: Why does the cleaner only last 2 weeks?

A: Just like bubbles in a carbonated drink, hypochlorous acid starts to dissipate over time. To be sure Force of Nature is at its optimal disinfecting power, you should use it within 2 weeks. The bottle is 12 oz, vs a typical cleaner which is around 26-32 oz. Most families use about a bottle a week when they use it for all their cleaning & deodorizing needs (replacing kitchen, bath, glass cleaners & deodorizers). Families who also use it on floors & rugs use even more. The light ring around the bottom of the Electrolyzer is color coded to let you know when it’s time to make a new batch.

Q: How do I use it to disinfect or sanitize?

A: We’re glad you asked because a lot of people don’t know the proper way to use disinfectants (not just Force of Nature)! On hard, non-porous surfaces, clean surface of soil or residue so that the disinfectant can come into contact with 100% of the surface. Spray Force of Nature on surface until thoroughly wet. Allow surface to remain wet for 10 minutes. Let dry naturally or wipe surface with clean cloth or towel. Most people don’t realize that the disinfectants you buy at the store typically have a 10 minute dwell time, and that you need to pre-clean the surface. No matter what disinfectant you use, don’t forget to read the usage instructions carefully.

Love this cleaner!! I have cancer and this replaced all my cleaners

  • Shannon

I was still slightly skeptical when I bought this but I did it because my infant daughter has severe eczema, her skin always has open sores. I didn’t feel comfortable using harsh chemicals around her. Once I made the solution I noticed the change in smell immediately after it came out of the machine. I used this to scrub down a whole bunch of random surfaces around my house (water stains in my tub, grease on my oven burners, mirrors, etc) and was pleasantly surprised. I couldn’t be more happy that I made the jump into this product.

  • Sonya

I have been looking for a cleaner like this my entire pregnancy and spent tons of moolah on a bunch of products to do serve different purposes. I was skeptical when I first saw this advertised on my FB feed, but I decided with the coupon code and return policy what did I have to lose? I ordered on a Monday and got my kit before the end of the week and had my eight year old daughter help me make the first bottle. We were oohing and ahhing at the find colors and bubbles as it worked its magic.

After using it on my counter tops, dining table, and mirrors, I am sold on this product. I am 8 months pregnant and my senses aren’t the best, but after spraying my counter tops and going up close to smell it, you can smell a faint bleach smell that doesn’t bother me. I have since thrown away all my toxic cleaners… Goodbye Windex, “natural” multi-purpose cleaners with strong scents, bleach, toilet cleaners, Febreeze, floor cleaner, and expensive yoga mat cleaners. You have been replaced. Now I just need to get an extra bottle to have on hand. I used this in combo with my O-Cedar floor spray mop and it made my kitchen and bathroom floors clean without any streaking or sticky residue.

I’m very pleased with this product and will be telling all my mommy friends about this!

  • Talitha

I have been using force of nature for a few weeks now and love it. I have successfully replaced all my cleaning products for this one product alone. A HUGE thing for me was my daughter’s mattress. She has nocturnal enuresis and despite having a waterproof pad her mattress gets wet and therefore smells. We have used EVERYTHING. We finally replaced her mattress but this one began to have the “smell” as well. I sprayed the mattress with Force of Nature and then blotted it after letting it dry for awhile. THE SMELL WAS GONE! I am so happy and so is my daughter! I also sprayed it on my strawberries as a fruit wash and no moldy strawberries—one week later! I am definitely a convert!

  • Nicole Georgine

I absolutely LOVE my force of nature cleaner! I’ve used it in every room of my house and have not been disappointed whatsoever. It cleaned my greasy microwave super well, and even got rid of the burnt popcorn smell that had been I there for ages. That’s a hard smell to get rid of. It also worked wonders on my wooden cutting boards. I just sprayed a nice layer on boards and let it air dry and no more onion smell! My bathroom is super clean and smells CLEAN…not like cleaning chemicals. I love that! My children are in their teens, but my youngest has severe allergies and everything irritates her sinuses. I feel great knowing this doesn’t bother her. And I love that I can spray the dog kennels and not have to worry about rinsing. I’m definitely a force of nature user for life!

  • Leslie Nichol

We love Force of Nature! We have found so many uses. Here is our latest: our six year old honeycomb kitchen window shades has accumulated small smatterings of food and grease. My scientist husband squirted the spots and let them soak. Then he wiped them down. Literally, our six year old shade looks brand new. And i have no worries about toxicity for our children and pets.

  • Alicia

I’m totally in love with Force of Nature! Between small kids and dogs I was cleaning with a DIY vinegar solution but now I get the power of bleach with the safety of green cleaning! The more I use it, the more I realize how many different surfaces, fabrics and textiles I can clean with this all in one solution. I cleaned out TWELVE bottles of other cleaning supplies from under my kitchen sink. I only need one bottle now, it’s great!

  • Sebastiana

Awesome product! I was not sure if it will be strong enough, but it sure is! I use it for everything and I love it! I will get rid d of all my other stuff and only have one bottle of force of nature !

  • Megan Richardson

I am thoroughly impressed with this cleaner. I am the sole shower cleaner in my house and during pregnancy I could only get my husband to do it a couple of times and the doors were completely ignored. Needless to say the shower doors were pretty built up. Normally I use a harsh chemical to cut through the soap scum. I thought I would test it out with this cleaner and the recommended baking soda. This method cleaned my shower doors better and faster than my harsh chemical. I also didn’t feel like I was choking to death on fumes. It has performed nicely in the kitchen on counters, stove top, and spills as well.

Force of Nature although I have loved it for all the ways you point out in the 10 ways to use…I have not found it great for windows, too streaky! Love cleaning water bottles and straws, my son’s shoes and our front loading washer. Has a slight bleach smell so I freak some people out when I use it. But then I get to explain what it is. Also love not having to throw away numerous bottles.

    • Melissa L.

Hi- Quick tip on your windows: Because it doesn’t have any drying accelerants like typical glass cleaners, the trick is to spray then wipe until it’s 100% dry with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel. We’re so happy you love it!

  • Revswife1

LOVE this! I’m basically allergic to everything. This stuff is great. I spray it liberally and am enjoying a fresh clean smell without stuff that makes me itch. My sinks are shiny all the time now because it’s so easy just to spray and wipe.

  • Corinne P

I am wholly unimpressed. Each batch expires after 2 weeks – that’s ridiculous. I couldn’t possibly use an entire bottle in two weeks. Before purchasing I was impressed by the cost comparison by oz to other cleaners – I hope that the cost of dumping it and making a fresh one every two weeks is calculated in that comparison. Otherwise it’s pretty inaccurate. It does not dry quickly like most cleaners do, it behaves more like wiping with water. I wish I’d never purchased it – seems more like a well advertised gimmick than a real change in cleaning products.

    • Melissa L.

We’re sorry you didn’t realize it has a 2 week shelf life! We have that information on the page where you bought your Starter Kit. The bottle is 12 oz, and on average families are using about 1 bottle a week when they use it for all of their all-purpose cleaning & deodorizing. Customers who use it on floors use even more. On drying, because it doesn’t contain drying accelerants like typical glass cleaners (for safety reasons), the trick is to wipe until it’s 100% dry. That will give you Windex results. We’re sorry you didn’t like it & have processed your return for you.
