Yes Force of Nature is a medical-grade federal EPA registered disinfectant and sanitizer. It kills 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, mold and mildew, including Norovirus, Influenza A, Salmonella, MRSA, Staph, Listeria, Pseudomonas, respiratory viruses and the viruses that cause flus, when used as directed on hard non-porous surfaces. You’d use the same amount of Force of Nature as you use of the products you replace it with. For example if you use it to replace kitchen, bath, glass, floor cleaners, deodorizers and disinfectant sprays, you’d use the same amount of Force of Nature as you do of those products combined.
Use it to clean virtually any surface – sealed stone including granite, marble & quartz, wood, laminate, stainless steel, glass, grout, tile, porcelain, plastic, rubber & even on high chair trays & cutting boards. Deodorize trash, diaper pails, kitty litter, pet toys & bedding. Clean colorfast rugs (great for pet accidents!), stuffed animals, carseats & strollers. Always test first for color fastness in an inconspicuous spot, let dry before proceeding and don’t use on fabrics labeled “only non-chlorine bleach”. Because Force of Nature has no whiteners like bleach or titanium, it won’t remove set in rust, hard water, or mold stains on porous surfaces. With soap scum, depending on build up & surface porosity, you may need a mild abrasive like baking soda with your scrub brush the first few times. This is because soap scum builds up in layers & can require a few applications to break down. If you’re using Force of Nature on brass or copper, either rinse with water or wipe until it’s thoroughly dry because it shouldn’t sit on soft metals over time.
If you have hard water (> 100ppm), please use a water softener, distilled or de-ionized water instead of tap water. This is because the minerals in hard water interfere with the chemistry, making the cleaner less effective, and can shorten the life of your Force of Nature.
Like bubbles in a carbonated drink, hypochlorous acid starts to dissipate over time. To be sure Force of Nature is at its optimal power, you should use it within 2 weeks. The bottle is 12 oz, vs a typical cleaner which is around 26-32 oz. Because you can use it for all your cleaning needs (replacing kitchen, bathroom, glass, floor cleaners, sanitizers, disinfectants and & deodorizers) you’ll find you can easily use it up within 2 weeks. The light ring around the bottom of the electrolyzer appliance is color coded to let you know when it’s time to make a new batch.

I have had Force of Nature cleaner for almost 2 months and it quickly became my go-to cleaner for nearly everything around my home. I am pregnant and have a toddler, so having something safe with real disinfecting power is a priority for me. I love that I can use it on just about every surface (including fabrics!!) in my home and it works in 30 seconds (versus 2+ minutes for most other sanitizers/disinfectants). I use it in/on the bathroom, kitchen, floors, electronics, toys, pacifiers, soft-sided dog crate, furniture, mattresses, carpet….and anything else that could potentially be dirty. And yes, it really does get the smell out of those stinky items lurking around your home that can’t be thrown in a washer. It does have a noticeable chlorine-like smell when sprayed initially, but it quickly transforms into a faint vinegar scent (and no scent at all when dry). I sanitize many areas of my home, like the toilet, counters, and coffee table, daily and one bottle typically lasts me 1-1.5 weeks.
The only cons I can think of are that it doesn’t work well on glass, grease, or serious grime (which would normally require a speacial/heavy-duty cleaner, like magic eraser, Tilex, or Greased Lightening). Those things don’t really bother me because I am really in it for the disinfecting properties, I just want to give people a realistic idea of its capabilities. It is not an all-in-one, but it is a most-in-one cleaner. The spray bottle also takes some getting used to and can be a little annoying when droplets of cleaner leak out onto the hand I’m spraying with. However, I enjoy the fine mist and long, continuous spray time which coats surfaces evenly and keeps my hand from getting tired from the number of times I have to squeeze the spray trigger.
I am so happy to have found a dependable cleaner that is safe for me and my littles to touch, has no harsh fumes, works on hard and soft surfaces, and quickly kills all germs around my home.

I just got mine and have only been using it for a couple days. So far, not very impressed. I cleaned my stovetop and it left water spots and streaks. Had to respray it and there was still water stains left. I cleaned the granite countertops and there was a lot of residual water that I had to wipe up that I don’t normally see with a regular cleaner and last, it does not remove stains (i.e. berries) from countertops. Unfortunately, I have to use my Clorox for that. I’m hoping it grows on me but at this point, I don’t feel like it was worth the money.

This is an amazing product. Not only is it great with daily cleanups and is versatile enough to cover granite, wood and other surfaces (vs using a different cleaner for each!) but it is AMAZING on disinfecting stinky lacrosse equipment and smelly cleats. With two boys and a girl all in sports, the mudroom used to smell like a locker room but now thanks to Force of Nature, it is back to smelling like home again!

I’m amazed that this 1 product has replaced about 10 different ones in our home and keeps everything sparkling clean: counter-top cleaner, window cleaner, all-purpose cleaner, hand sanitizer, sink and toilet bowl cleaner, deodorizer for stinky clothing, pre-treating wet exercise / sports clothes to prevent odor, spraying on flowers in vases so they last longer, all-purpose sanitizer, car cleaner, rug cleaner. This is one amazing product! I use it for all cleaning all around the house now and keep looking for new things to clean with it. I am particularly thrilled about using it in the kitchen to wipe down cutting boards after cutting chicken and other meats as I always worried before that the bacteria from chicken would make my family really sick. Some other favorite uses: cleaning electric toothbrushes, de-odorizing our cat’s litter box, and spraying sneakers.
It even got the mold out of my favorite LL Bean picnic bag that somehow got stored over the winter with a banana peel in a pocket. Yuck. I thought I was going to have to throw the bag out but it is as good as new. Another use is to sanitize medical equipment used in the home. I have recommended FON to a friend who uses a CPAP machine every night for sleep apnea; FON is perfect to safely clean and disinfect that equipment.

This is a great product. One member of our household has chemical sensitivity and another is just very sensitive to smells. This product cleans and disinfects vigorously and thoroughly without any strong odors or fumes. It is so effective and pleasant to use compared to bleach or heavily perfumed products that the team who help clean our house ask to take extra with them to use on other jobs. We use it to clean every surface in the kitchen, including a greasy stove, we use it to clean the bathrooms. It has been helpful for removing mold, and we use it to clean and disinfect reusable shopping bags and the kids insulated school lunch bags. It proved its worth by completely removing odor from a pair of canvas shoes worn barefoot and from our teenager’s favorite wear daily shoes. We hit the toothbrushes regularly, and more often when someone has a cold. I use it at work with clients who are often sick – use it to spray down my desk and equipment.
