Truth in cleaning.

Many people don’t know there is no standard definition of “natural” in cleaning products & that manufacturers aren’t required to list every ingredient on their labels. Force of Nature is truly non-toxic.

Questions and answers.

Q: Does it have a scent?
A:  Force of Nature has zero added fragrances so it’s safe around family members with asthma and allergies. It has a light swimming pool scent that is naturally created when salt, water & vinegar are electrolyzed. The scent is from the active ingredient, hypochlorous acid, which is the same active ingredient commonly used in wound, eye & veterinary care products.

Q: Why does the cleaner only last 2 weeks?

A: Just like bubbles in a carbonated drink, hypochlorous acid starts to dissipate over time. To be absolutely sure Force of Nature is at its optimal cleaning power, you should use it within 2 weeks. The bottle is 12 oz, vs a typical cleaner which is around 26-32 oz. Most families use about a bottle a week when they use it for all their all-purpose cleaning & deodorizing needs (replacing bleach, deodorizers, kitchen, bath & glass cleaners). Families who also use it on floors & rugs use even more. There is a date on the base that counts down the 14 days to remind you.

Q: Does it work with hard water or well water?
A:  If you have hard or well water, you would need a water softener or bottled, filtered or distilled water instead of tap water. This is because the minerals in hard water interfere with the chemistry, making the cleaner less effective.

Q: On what types of surfaces does it work?
A: It’s safe & effective on virtually any surface – sealed stone counters like granite, marble & quartz, wood, laminate, stainless steel, glass, grout, tile, porcelain, plastic, rubber & even on high chair trays & cutting boards where it’s so safe there’s no need to rinse. It’s also safe & effective on kitty litter, pet toys & bedding. It’s great to use on washable fabrics, rugs, furniture, stuffed animals & clothing. Always test first for color fastness in an inconspicuous spot & let dry before proceeding and don’t use on fabrics labelled “only non-chlorine bleach”. Because Force of Nature has no whiteners like bleach or titanium, it won’t remove rust or hard water stains, or stains on grout. With soap scum, depending on build up & surface porosity, you may need a mild abrasive like baking soda with your scrub brush the first few times. This is because soap scum builds up in layers & can require a few applications to break down.

I love this cleaner and I use it on everything. For many years I have been using Mrs Meyers, which smells wonderful, along with a handful of other toxic, horrible smelling products for other jobs around the house. When I saw this cleaner I read lots of reviews then bought it, and I couldn’t be happier. I am not a germaphobe, and I don’t keep my house sparkling clean. I have 4 dogs, a 6 year-old, and a husband who is an excellent chef and the messiest cook ever. Aside from cleaning the kitchen and sweeping the floors daily, I clean everything else when I can see it needs to be cleaned. I loved Mrs Meyers, but it did bother me that it didn’t sanitize. I tried to use sanitizing wipes occasionally, but realistically I didn’t use them that often. But now I have Force of Nature. I use it to clean my kitchen, dining table, bathroom, floors, windows, mirrors, stainless steel, etc. It’s works great on everything, and I love that my child can help me clean since it’s safe around kids and pets. I’m so excited to have a cleaner that sanitizes too and doesn’t irritate my lungs and sting my eyes. There is a very faint bleach smell when FON is wet, but it disappears once dry and it doesn’t sting like bleach. I do miss the smell of my old cleaner, but it’s worth it to me to use a product that is safe and sanitizes instead. FON is excellent at removing odors from shoes, hats, car seats, and other fabrics that aren’t easily washed. It does not do well on built-up soap scum, but FON states that on their website. If you use it on glass you need to thoroughly dry to avoid streaks. Sometimes if I’m not careful I get streaks on the windows, but it looks better than the dog nose art that was there before. My husband complained that it didn’t dissolve a blob of butter on the counter, but that’s been his only complaint about it. I used it for the first time today on a set in carpet stain and it worked as well as Spot Shot! A bottle so far has lasted at most 4 days, and I am not someone that cleans everything daily. We have a big house, but I also use it on so many things that I would have previously used multiple products for. No more febreeze, windex, floor cleaner, bathroom cleaner, leather cleaner, carpet stain remover. It’s all replaced by FON. I’m keeping my disposable toilet cleaning brushes though – not very green of me, I know, but I hate having a toilet brush sitting around. Also the bottle is just 12 ounces, which would be good for people that don’t go through as much so that they can use it up in 2 weeks. If you like to cook, have kids or pets, and even if like me you clean just what needs to be cleaned, you should have no trouble using up a bottle in 2 weeks. I am happy with the cost of the capsules even if I continue using a bottle every 4 days after the newness has worn off. A note about the cost comparison though, if you use Mrs Meyers concentrate it is actually slightly cheaper than this. A bottle of Mrs Meyers concentrate is $9, and you get free shipping if you spend $30. The concentrate has 32 ounces in the bottle, and you use 4 ounces of concentrate to make a full 16 ounce bottle of cleaner. That’s 7 cents per ounce. If you subscribe to FON, with shipping, it’s 7.7 cents per ounce. The difference is negligible, but the cost comparison on FON’s website only applies if you are buying individual bottles of Mrs Meyers each time. For me it’s totally worth it to have one product that replaces so many others. I certainly didn’t use Mrs Meyers on everything like I do with FON. I tell anyone who will listen about FON, I bought a kit for my mom, and have even passed along samples to a couple people in mini spray bottles. If you are considering purchasing it, just get it. You won’t regret it.

I really like this in the cat litter box room. I have three stinky cats and the deodorizing power of this is great. I mean don’t get me wrong it doesn’t kill the odors forever but it does a great job at helping the boxes smell fresher and the room as well after I scoop. And I know it isn’t hurting the fur kids so I spray it right on the litter. I’ve been paying $15 a bottle for another deodorizing spray. It cleans really well too and I like the light chlorine smell it leaves behind.

i LOVE the cleaner but unfortunately the spray bottle starts leaking after a few uses. Still, it smells SO good and it’s my favorite go to for clean ups.

We try very hard to limit toxic chemicals in our home and in our personal care. This is replacing our standard vinegar, essential oil, and water, spray bottles.

Force of Nature is newly our go-to household cleaner.

It’s easy to prepare and use, and it has a pleasing mild bleach/chlorine smell (at least to me) but it dissipates very quickly.

It is NOT a degreaser, though, so don’t be disappointed in that.

I love this product so far! I’ve used it for about a week, and it’s great at cleaning and disinfecting.I’ve used it on nearly all the surfaces in my bathrooms, and even around the cat box! Great stuff!

I was skeptical! I love when someone can prove me wrong. Force of nature did it! I live in an apartment and cleaning the bathroom with no ventilation is horrible on my allergies and personally I don’t want my family breathing in those vile fumes. My shower was a mess, specific branded wipes only do so much. With force of nature and a scrub brush my shower is now spotless. The best part I feel better using non toxic products around my family and fur babies, and I did not have to keep leaving the bathroom from overexposure to nasty fumes. My kitchen is clean an sanitized and I didn’t have to tell my toddler to do something else while I sprayed the counters. Thank you Force of Nature for creating a family friendly cleaner.

I would have given it five stars but first thing the spray bottle they give you is completely useless. Another thing is the metal contacts get bent pretty easily so you have to really force the contacts in place. But it absolutely does what it says it does. Smells like bleach. Cleans like bleach.

    • Melissa

Hi – We’ve sent you a new spray bottle so we hope you like it much better! On the contacts as long as you are only putting the Activator Bottle on & off them, they shouldn’t bend. If you have any trouble please let us know so we can help. Thanks so much for trying Force of Nature!

I was hesitant to buy Force of Nature for two reasons. One, we have well water and I didn’t want to have to buy bottled water. Two, I felt certain I would never use all of the cleaner in 14 days. I don’t exactly like to clean! But, when I did the math, a gallon of water will make 10 bottles of cleaner. So, that isn’t really an issue. And, much to my surprise I am reaching for Force of Nature constantly! It has been ten days and I have about two fingers of cleaner left. I have used it to clean up after supper, to clean out our humidifiers, to clean bird feeders, to clean the bathrooms (mirrors included), and as a deodorizer. It even cleaned off the cooked on gunk from our ceramic stovetop! I typically have to use a special cleaner to clean that stuff off, but with a microfiber scrubber and a tiny bit of elbow grease, it all came right off with Force of Nature! Oh, it also got a mystery stain out of one of my hand knit scarves! I am in love with this cleaner! While it works best if you use a cloth or sponge with a little bit of scrubbing surface on it, you do not have to scrub your brains out until your arm kills and you’re out of breath! I highly, highly recommend Force of Nature!

I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I really like it. I’ve replaced all my cleaners with it. Cleaned all the spots on my dark grey couch, use on everything in the kitchen, bathroom, walls. I haven’t had anything come up that I couldn’t use it on. I go through the bottles pretty quickly because we have 4 kids. Definitely recommend the product.

I love this product! It makes cleaning so easy and simple. I am a lazy cleaner, so this was perfect for me. Using only 1 product, I can clean anything at any time. Even sanititizing the kids toys is so simple. spray and air dry. love it!

    Hands down amazing.
    I recommend to everyone.
    Specially people with children.
I have a 3 and 1yr ppd and the 1yr ppd gets into everything so being able to have something so safe and still effective is amazing. And life changing.

Not bad in theory. I suppose the solution works, but the bottle is a mess. When trying to spray, I get handfuls of solution and spillage and I’ve been using it only for a few months. Two stars for a solution that presumably works and zero for a worthless bottle. Wanted to love it because nothing says clean like a light bleach smell.
